ABOUT

Originally from the South West, Oli Thelwall lives in Crouch End - North London, where he works as a Sound Designer for The Bornless, an online FPS currently in development by Cathedral Studios. Oli also writes and records music for various personal projects. Influenced by the themes of youth and adulthood, loss, longing and the landscapes of his roots, his music often tells stories of the human experience seeped in haunting nostalgia. His group Hawks Monitor ran with these themes and set them to driving rhythms, melodic hooks and big choruses. Oli's previous work over the years includes performing, writing and recording with the Folk-Americana inspired band Running The Colour, playing in numerous groups in the West Country and Brighton, and working on soundscape collaborations for film, TV and games. Oli is a big fan of Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Wwise.
